Full Time Police Officer
The Township of Hamilton Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full time Police Officer.
- The applicant must be a citizen of the United States, be at least 21 and not over 35 years of age (Unless applicant is already enrolled in PFRS), have a valid driver’s license; be able to read, write, and speak the English language; be sound in body and health; be of good moral character and have not been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude.
- The applicant must possess a valid New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification or will become PTC certified within the next six months.
- Preferred, but not required - 60+ credits from an accredited college or university that is regionally recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- The applicant will undergo drug screening, psychological testing, and oral interviews. At the time of appointment as a police officer, the applicant must be a resident of New Jersey and possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Police Communications - Dispatcher
Applications are being accepted for our POLICE COMMUNICATIONS position. Employees receive paid training as required to operate all communications equipment in our multijurisdictional service area. Salary starts at $45,321, applicants may be eligible for higher salary based on experience. Employment includes access to the State Health Benefits plan, State Pension plan, 12 vacation days, 3 personal days, and 14.5 holidays with a 8.25 hour work day. Applicants must pass a full police background investigation, medical, and drug screening prior to hiring.
